Conference Venue

- Held at the newly completed Salvation Army Harbour Light.
- The Facility includes a Residential Addiction Treatment Program for 85 men, Transitional Housing apartments, a Church and other Social Services.
- During the conference, tours of the new facility will be provided and presentations by Program Staff will conducted to give insight to our specific addictions program.
Interactive Workshops
There will be 8 interactive workshops offered over the 2 day conference. These will be conducted by the keynote speakers as well as experts in the respective fields.
Workshop presentations will include the following topics:
- Methadone Maintenance Treatment: Its Place in Addiction Medicine
- Facilitation of 12 Step Recovery Concepts into Addiction Treatment: Including Clients with Concurrent Disorders
- Implementing Current Principles and Techniques of Addiction Treatment into Daily Practice
- Psychotherapy: Defining a Place for this Tool in Addiction Treatment
- Sleep and Substance Use: What You Need To Know
- Relapse Prevention: Use of the CENAPS Model in Addiction Treatment
- Detox and Daytox in the GTA: What You Need to Know
- Integration of Methadone Maintenance Clients and Smoking Cessation into a Residential Addiction Treatment Program
- Setting up and Integrating a Concurrent Disorder Services within General Hospital and Addiction Treatment Settings
